This picture was taken last October along the route between Durango and Silverton Colorado, on the narrow guage Durango/Silverton RR, dating from the 1880s. I find the sight of the steam engine against the contrast of the mountain gorge almost dreamlike! George Martwick of Warrenville
A lighted pier roof at night in the harbor in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 11. William A. Rosewell of Palatine
An orchid at The Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. The orchid show features over 10,000 orchids and runs through March 26th. Fred Share of Arlington Heights

We recently spent a weekend in Colorado for a family birthday. While driving through a neighborhood, I happened to look up and see this eagle sitting in a tree along the street. My husband quickly puled over, and I had my camera in hand (just in case!). It was a very pleasant surprise, and proof that it pays to have your camera with you at all times! Robin Green of Warrenville
The sun rises on Waukegan Harbor and illuminates the icy waters of Lake Michigan on a cold January 2015 morning. Mike Stone of Round Lake Beach
This photo was taken in my daughters backyard outside of Atlanta after a January ice storm. As the sun went down, the reflection off the lake shined through the iced tree branches and shows the beauty of a winter storm in the south. Dave Sbertoli of Wood Dale

Sunset at the old fishing hole in Tall Oaks on Elgin's west side John Prickett of Hampshire
