Student art on display at Grayslake library

The Grayslake Area Public Library is celebrating art this month with a variety of displays and programs.

The library is partnering with Community Consolidated School District 46 and Foundation46 to show student art through Friday, March 24. An opening reception was held Friday night with patrons enjoying the student-created pieces, hands-on activities, live jazz and refreshments.

Also on Friday, the youth programs kicked off with WonderArt, with children listening to a story and creating their own art projects. Other upcoming programs include The Art of Collage, the 24 annual Kite Decorating Contest and Teen ARTS Group.
