Friends for Health Receives Generous Grant from Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park
HIGHLAND PARK, IL (MARCH 2017) - Friends for Health (FFH) is pleased to announce it is once again the proud recipient of a generous donation from the Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park (HFHP). This donation will fund the North Shore Health Center's 2017 Diabetes Program, Health and Wellness Outreach, and cover patient medical consultations and tests outside the scope of service at North Shore Health Center (NSHC), 1840 Green Bay Road in Highland Park, Illinois.
"FFH gratefully acknowledges the very generous and long-standing support of the Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park over the past 10 years and are so honored to be the recipient of this annual endowment," says Holly Kerr, Chair of Philanthropy at FFH. "This grant is instrumental in supporting a number of important programs, and without these grants, these programs would not exist, and for that we wish to thank Board Chair, Jim Styer and his hard-working Board for their continued support."
The initial grant in 2006 helped fund NSHC's first year of operation, and since then FFH has continued to receive a substantial grant from HFHP to expand its services and include a variety of educational programs and community volunteer opportunities. Together, NSHC and FFH provide medical and wellness support for all families in the community, regardless of their ability to pay and ensure they live healthier lives.
