McHenry County Animal Control offers vaccine clinics

Is your dog up to date on their rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccinations? For minimal cost, you can be sure your dog is current by making an appointment at one of two March clinics planned at the McHenry County Animal Control, 100 N. Virginia St. in Crystal Lake.

The clinics will take place between 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 10 and Thursday, March 16. Reserve your appointment by calling (815) 459-6222.

Forever Husky, a charitable organization based in Crystal Lake, has generously provided a limited quantity of distemper, bordetella, and three-year rabies vaccine for these clinics at no-cost.

Subject to availability this no-cost vaccine will be offered at each clinic. Priority will be given to seniors, veterans and income qualified County residents.

Although the partnership with Forever Husky makes no-cost vaccine available, registration is required by law for dogs in McHenry County.

Tags must be purchased at the time of vaccination. Registration fees vary depending on a variety of factors such as whether your dog is spayed or neutered. Fee information can be found at www.mcdh.info.

Forever Husky provides humane care and treatment for Huskies. The Forever Husky network works with adoptive families to provide training and understanding of the specific needs of Huskies.
