COD Hosts 'High School: Drugs in our Schools Symposium' March 8

The College of DuPage Human Services program is sponsoring "'High School: Drugs in our Schools Symposium," the first in a three-part discussion of the human condition, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000 on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

This event is free and open to the public. Licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, certified domestic violence professionals and certified drug and alcohol counselors may earn up to six CEU hours.

The free event features presentations by Dr. Lukasz Konopka, "The Neurobiology of Adolescent Addiction;" Timberline Knolls/Gateway, "Treatment and Intervention with Adolescents;" and the Drug Enforcement Administration, "Assessment of the Drug Threat and Current Trends in Drug Trafficking." Additionally, representatives of the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group and adolescent survivors will present.
