Livingston, Scudder named to Silver Cross Hospital board

Dr. David Livingston and Michael Scudder have been appointed to the Silver Cross Hospital board of directors.

Livingston is the tenth and current president of Lewis University. He previously served as president of Lourdes University for three years and also at Mercyhurst University for 16 years in various diverse capacities, including president of the faculty senate and vice president for advancement. Prior to joining the Mercyhurst community, he taught religious studies at Loyola Academy High School in Wilmette, Vanderbilt University in Nashville, University of St. Francis in Joliet, Joliet Catholic Academy, and Loyola University of Chicago.

Livingston received his bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from Augustana College; his master in arts degree in Theology from Loyola University, and his Ph.D. in Theology from Vanderbilt University.

Scudder is the president and CEO of First Midwest Bancorp, Inc. and the chairman of the board and CEO of First Midwest Bank. He also serves as a member of the advisory committee of the First Midwest Board. Prior to his current appointment in 2008, Scudder served as First Midwest Bancorp's president and chief operating officer and as its chief financial officer. He also has served in various other management capacities in his 30 years of service to First Midwest. He began his professional career at KPMG.

He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University and a MBA from DePaul University.

Livingston and Scudder join 12 members of the New Lenox hospital's board of directors.
