Lake Villa St. Patrick's Day parade, luncheon set for March 11
Lake Villa's annual St. Patrick's Day parade and corn beef and cabbage luncheon will be held Saturday, March 11. The lineup begins at 10:30 a.m. at Palombi Middle School, 133 McKinley Ave., with a noon start. The route follows McKinley Avenue north to Burnett Avenue to Sherwood Avenue to Grand Avenue to Cedar Avenue and ends on Railroad Avenue near the Lake Villa VFW, 130 E. Grand Ave. Anyone who wants to be in the parade can complete and return an application at http://www.lake-villa.org/ by March 4. Lunch at the VFW immediately follows the parade. Donations for the Lake Villa Township food pantry will be accepted along the parade route and at the VFW.
