WIM Fox Valley presents 'Women Inspiring Women' with Michelle Santucci

On Thursday, March 9, WIM Fox Valley welcomes Michelle Santucci of Elgin, founder of Little Mac Boutique, who will speak about her own inspiration, her four children, in the launch of her first business.

The luncheon will be held at this month's new location of Grumpy Goat Tavern, 875 Sports Way in Elgin, with networking at 11:30 a.m., luncheon and program at noon. Meetings adjourn promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $22 for members or $25 for nonmembers. Area women business professionals are welcome to attend. Reservations must be made for attendance no later than Tuesday, March 7, online at www.wimfoxvalley.org.

This month's meeting is sponsored by the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley. It is seeking women to help build and raise funds for a brighter future for Northern Fox Valley families through its third annual Women Build program in Elgin from May 9-13. Santucci credits her four children, MacKenzie, Mylania, Travis and Bentley, as the inspiration for starting her first business, Little Mac Boutique. When MacKenzie was 6 months old, Santucci began selling her original hairbows online via Etsy. As time went on, she added a children's clothing line, rainboots and many other children's accessories. Over time, her orders grew to over 800 per week. She now sells her products at craft shows, a biannual open house, and on the website www.littlemacboutique.com.

"Michelle is a stay-at-home mom," said Ramona "Monie" Burns, this year's 2016-17 WIM Fox Valley president, "who took her creative talents to the next level."

"We eagerly anticipate hearing about how this Elgin mom transformed a unique idea that provides pleasure and fun to many other mothers and children across the country."

Burns is owner of MoMo's Concierge Services in Elgin, which provides harmony, security and freedom at home and work through a variety of personal and professional services.

Burns added, "We warmly welcome guests to attend our meetings to find out more about WIM Fox Valley and our mission of women inspiring and mentoring."

Upcoming speakers include Lisa Stamos of Quintessential Barrington Magazine on April 13 and an evening dinner celebration at McGraw Wildlife Center on May 18.

WIM Fox Valley was founded in 1984 as the Northern Fox Valley Chapter of Women In Management.
