An Addison woman was killed after another driver blew a red light early Wednesday morning in Melrose Park, causing a three-car accident, police said.

The crash happened at about 3:56 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Mannheim Road and Lake Street, Melrose Park police said in a news release.

The driver of the Impala, Cindy Baez-Gutierrez, 20, was extricated and taken to Loyola University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 4:51 a.m.

The van's driver was also extricated and taken to Loyola in an unknown condition. The driver of the Honda Civic was not injured in the crash.
