Naperville Park District to hold summer job fair

Adults and high school students seeking summer employment are invited to learn more about part-time and seasonal positions at the Naperville Park District by attending the district's job fair.

The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville.

As one of the area's largest employers of youth, the park district offers a variety of seasonal positions that support facilities such as Centennial Beach, Naperbrook and Springbrook golf courses, the Riverwalk Café, the Paddleboat Quarry, and Knoch Knolls Nature Center.

Additionally, the district relies on seasonal employees to support its summer camp program, special events and park maintenance.

Although most positions at the fair will be seasonal, there also may be some that are year-round, part-time positions, such as group fitness instructor or open gym attendant at Fort Hill Activity Center.

"Attending the job fair is a great way to learn more about these jobs and to connect with the hiring managers," said Katie Sepe, human resources director.

"We encourage interested applicants to read the job descriptions posted online at napervilleparks.org/employment prior to attending the job fair," said Janyll Cashman, human relations assistant. "Applicants are welcome to apply for positions ahead of time, or they may use the computers available at the fair to do so. Qualified applicants may be able to participate in on-the-spot interviews as well."
