Third Tuesday Supper on tap in Geneva this week

Third Tuesday Supper:

The Third Tuesday Supper is 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church of Geneva, 211 Hamilton St. The "Warm Your Heart" supper menu will be Helen's chicken and gravy, mashed potatoes, hot vegetables, salad and homemade dessert buffet featuring pies and cobblers. 'Harmony' revue at Judson:

Judson University's theater department presents "Harmony," a revue incorporating music, spoken word and dance, at 7 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday in the Thulin Performance Hall in the Thompson Center, 1151 N. State St., Elgin. Judson alumni and Joshua and Melissa Hoegh direct the production featuring a cast of 14. Get tickets at jutheatretickets@judsonu.edu or (847) 628-2625. STEM Expo in U-46:

Students in Elgin Area School District U-46 will explore and discover science, technology, engineering and mathematics through various hands-on experiments during the ninth annual STEM Expo from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at South Elgin High School, 760 E. Main St. Kindergarten through 12th-grade students will present projects based on their natural curiosities and explain their findings to the judges. Admission is free. Visit u46science.org/stemexpo.

MCC faculty recital:

The music faculty at McHenry County College presents the fourth annual music faculty recital at 3 p.m. Sunday featuring piano, organ, horn, euphonium, guitar and a jazz trio. Featured performers will include Michael Bazan, Rebecca Chu, Pat Gaughan, Russ Henning, Michael Hillstrom, Paige Lush, Chris Ray, and Tara Singer, plus an original dance by Carolyn Victoria. Russian tea at Elgin museum:

Elgin used to be a Sister City to Belgorod, Russia, so the Elgin History Museum will offer a leisurely Russian tea with fresh baked pastries for patrons who want to learn more about Russian culture. Souvenirs from Russian trips will be on display courtesy of Steve Stroud, who has extensive knowledge of Russian language and history. The event is at noon March 5 and tickets are $20.
