Two charged in Waukegan armed robberies

Two men have been charged for their roles in a pair of armed robberies in Waukegan, authorities said Friday.

Joshua Collins, 20, and Terry Carter-Kilgore, 19, both of the 1900 block of North Lewis Avenue, Waukegan, have been charged with two counts of armed robbery for thefts that took place between Feb. 10 and 13, authorities said.

Collins is alleged to have entered both businesses and robbed them at gunpoint, while Carter-Kilgore helped plan and execute both robberies, authorities said.

Officers were called to a Citgo gas station in the 2200 block of North Lewis for an armed robbery about 10 p.m. Feb. 10. The store clerk said he was robbed at gunpoint and that money was taken from the store.

Authorities were called to Papa John's Pizza in the 1300 block of North Green Bay Road at 10:30 p.m. Feb. 13, authorities said. The clerk told officers he was robbed at gunpoint and money was taken from the business.

Both suspects are held in Lake County jail on $500,000 bail, authorities said. They will appear in court March 14, authorities said.
