Fox Valley Wildlife Center taking donations for annual dinner auction

The Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn needs auction items for the dinner auction on Saturday, March 18, at Piper's Banquets, 1295 Butterfield Road in Aurora.

Suggestions for donations of auction items include: concert tickets, sporting events, cultural events, wine tasting, private tours; and goods of getaway packages, gift certificates, fine wines, gourmet food, frequent flier miles, museum passes, artwork, themed gift baskets, jewelry, celebrity signed items, annual memberships electronics hotel/B&B accommodations and vacation rental.

Or consider donating professional services of home repairs, carpentry service, hair styling, pedicures/manicures, landscaping, auto repair, dog obedience training, massage, interior design, life coaching, house cleaning, limousine ride, or others.

Also sought are lessons for cooking, yoga/Pilates, music, knitting, golf, painting, dancing or tennis. Other auction items could include hot air balloon ride, kayaking trip, Kane County Cougars outing, and pet walking.

It is the wildlife center's biggest fundraising event of the year where friends come together for food, fun and the celebration of wildlife. This event offers the opportunity to continue giving wildlife a second chance.

The evening starts with viewing and bidding on the silent auction items.

Items should be valued at a minimum of $25. Gift cards are much appreciated. Your donation is tax deductible.

Fox Valley Wildlife Center in Elburn is state and federally licensed to care for the over 2,600 wild animals admitted each year. It receives no federal, state or local funding but through donations, fundraisers and memberships the wildlife center is able to continue helping wildlife in need.
