Aurora Christian's season comes to an end

Aurora Christian's girls basketball season came to an end as Ashton-Franklin Center knocked off the Eagles 55-46 Tuesday night in the Class 1A Serena sectional semifinal Tuesday night.

Sophomore Tori Henning paced Aurora Christian (20-9), which trailed 28-16 at the half, with 20 points. Juniors Paris Chaney and Alexandra Fry finished with 10 and 9 points, respectively, for the Eagles.

St. Charles East 68, Lake Park 36: Samantha Munroe tallied a game-high 19 points while Marissa Urso contributed 18 as the No. 4 seed Saints rolled to a win as hosts of the Class 4A regional semifinal. Sara Rosenfeldt added 14 points for St. Charles East (23-5), which will take on No. 5 seed Wheaton Warrenville South Thursday for the regional title.

Schaumburg 64, Bartlett 49: The 7th-seeded Saxons eliminated No. 10 seed Bartlett (12-18) in the Class 4A Batavia regional. Schaumburg will face No. 2 seed Wheaton North Friday in the title game.

St. Charles North 47, Conant 31: Freshman Jaz Harmon racked up a game-high 16 points to lead the No. 6 seed North Stars (19-9) past the host Cougars in a Class 4A regional semifinal. Lizzy Olsem followed with 11 points for St. Charles North, which squares off against No. 3 seed Rolling Meadows Thursday at 7 p.m. in the title game.

Geneva 64, Hoffman Estates 17: Grace Loberg and Margaret Whitley scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, as the top-seeded Vikings (23-4) cruised to victory in the Class 4A Hoffman Estates regional semifinal. Geneva will play the winner of Wednesday's Glenbard West-York game Friday night at 7 p.m. for the regional title.

Dundee-Crown 55, Prairie Ridge 34: Paige Gieseke collected 13 points while Allison Michalski chipped in 11 to help the No. 2 seed Chargers notch their ninth straight victory in the Class 4A McHenry regional semifinal. Dundee-Crown (17-11) will face No. 7 seed Crystal Lake South Thursday at 7 p.m. for the regional crown.

Crystal Lake South 54, McHenry 49 (2 OTs): The Gators (14-14) pulled the upset in the Class 4A McHenry regional semifinal over the No. 3 seed host Warriors behind 20 points from Annika Sevcik and 17 from Kelly Gaede.

Rockford Guilford 44, Hampshire 37: The No. 4 seed Whip-Purs (17-11) were upset in the Class 4A Guilford regional semifinal by the 6th-seeded host Vikings despite 13 points from Rachel Dumoulin and 8 from Meagan Heine. Kaleia Monteiro led all scorers with 21 points for Guilford (15-12).

Huntley 54, Harlem 31: Senior Morgan Clausen collected 15 points, Grace Gajewski added 14 and Missy Moffett had 11 to lead the No. 7 Red Raiders past host Harlem in the Class 4A regional quarterfinals. Huntley (17-12) will face No. 2 seed Hononegah (24-6) in Wednesday's 6 p.m. regional semifinal with Clausen needing 8 points to reach 1,000 for her career.
