Submit a nomination for 2017 McHenry County Green Awards

The McHenry County Green Awards recognize the waste reduction, recycling and conservation efforts of businesses, institutions, organizations and residents in the county.

These innovative programs positively impact our community and recycling rates, provide services to our residents and represent examples to others interested in providing similar services.

The McHenry County Department of Health invites you to submit a nomination for the McHenry County Green Awards.

Entries will be considered based on environmentally sound waste reduction or recycling efforts, innovation and education/encouragement of participation. Award winners will be selected by the McHenry County Solid Waste Advisory Committee and recognized at special events throughout the year.

One award will be chosen for each of the following categories:

• Business - manufacturing, retail, offices, hotels, restaurants;

• Institution - schools, hospitals, long term care facilities, government;

• Organization - associations, clubs, volunteer groups;

• Individual.

Forms are available online at www.mcdh.info and nominations will be accepted through Friday, March 3.
