Lake Villa library to host wine and beer fundraiser

The Lake Villa District Library Foundation will sponsor the annual wine and craft beer tasting from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Lake Villa District Library, 1001 E. Grand Ave.

Proceeds will fund public art for a new library to be built.

Along with wine and craft beer tastings, there will be entertainment and a raffle for items including: two tickets for "Hamilton;" two 11th row Chicago Blackhawks tickets with parking; and/or a Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit.

The cover charge is $5 and attendees must be 21. Raffle tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25 and are on sale at the library.

Music will be provided by the progressive folk jazz duo Bill Liggett and Larry Sell, and garden expert Mark Lyons will answer questions and make lemon cheese. Renderings of the new library will be available. Visit www.lvdl.org for more information.
