Haflinger's huge game lifts Lakes
A historic night for senior forward Ian Haflinger led Lakes' boys basketball team to a 74-54 win over host Round Lake in Northern Lake County Conference action Friday night.
Haflinger poured in a school-record 42 points and added 11 rebounds, as the Eagles won their third game in a row to improve to 12-13 and 7-6 in the NLCC.
Haflinger hit 18 shots from the floor and was 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.
Round Lake (2-20, 0-12) was led by Zack Kuligoski's 19 points. Jameson Hamlin and Angelo White added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Panthers.
North Chicago 82, Antioch 50: The visiting Warhawks cruised to improve to 16-7 and 12-1 in the Northern Lake County Conference.
Antioch fell to 7-16 and 3-10.
