Rivers Casino gives nearly $67K to Des Plaines District 62

Rivers Casino awarded two grants to Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 in January, including money for playground upgrades and equipment to help students with autism, according to a news release.

Iroquois Community School received a $43,500 grant for playground improvements.

The Jane L. Westerhold Early Learning Center received $23,289 to provide aided language simulation equipment to help students in the autism classrooms.

"The Board of Education is very appreciative of Rivers Casino, their generosity and partnership," Board President Stephanie Duckmann said. "Their support over the years has directly benefited our students in many ways. We thank them for their continuous support of District 62."
