Green Drinks event in Libertyville focuses on advocacy

"For the Love of ___!: What Motivates People to Act" is the topic of a Green Drinks event at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, at O'Toole's Libertyville, 412 North Milwaukee Ave.

The event details how one person can make a difference. Verena Owen, volunteer co-leader of the Sierra Club's national Beyond Coal Campaign, which has roots in Lake County, will present a brief history of the effort considered a significant achievement for environmentalism.

Green Drinks is held the second Tuesday of each month at O'Toole's and includes a presentation followed by a short discussion. Visit www.greendrinks.org.
