Glenbard District 87 Feb. 22 parenting event to explore Transforming Lives with Everyday Leadership

The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present Transforming Lives with Everyday Leadership/"Lollypop Moments" with author Drew Dudley on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

Dudley is a world-class storyteller who helps discusses leadership in a practical, humorous and hopeful way to create cultures of everyday leadership. He argues we too often make leadership into something beyond us, reserved for the extraordinary or a select few. He believes there is a form of leadership that everyone is capable of. On Feb. 22, Dudley will offer practical insights into how to overcome the barriers to develop the leadership that lies within our families, our communities and us.

Dudley's popular TED talk calls these everyday acts "Lollipop Moments" - a concept that represents transformative moments of powerful impact and growth.

This GPS event is open to the public, and students are encouraged to attend. The program will begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at the College of DuPage McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn.

GPS is generously sponsored by the Cebrin Goodman Center, Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE), College of DuPage, DuPage Medical Group, Emmy Gaffey Foundation and Trust Company of Illinois.
