Villa Park Junior Women's Club 2017 Scholarship
VILLA PARK, IL, February 8, 2017 - The Villa Park Junior Women's Club (VPJWC) is now accepting applications for their 2017 scholarship. Every year, the VPJWC sponsors a scholarship to benefit a female Villa Park student. This scholarship promotes and rewards women's involvement in a variety of community service activities. The VPJWC will be awarding two scholarships to high school seniors this year in the amount of $1,500 and $500. The deadline to apply is no later than April 15, 2017 and apply online at vpjwc.org/scholarship. The award recipients are determined based on their application and recommendations. This is not a scholarship awarded based on financial need. Qualifications include being a current resident of Villa Park, high school senior status, a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA, and have participated in a minimum of one (1) community service activity for at least 2 year (can include current semester. All applicants must provide two (2) letters of recommendation excluding family members. Applications and recommendations must be received before or on Saturday, April 15, 2017, either via the online application below or to the following address: Villa Park Junior Women's Club Scholarship P.O. Box 6232 Villa Park, IL 60181 The scholarship will be awarded in the Spring at the Senior Awards Night(s) of the winners' school(s). The recipient must provide a valid Social Security number to accept the award.
About the Villa Park Junior Women's Club Founded in September 2004 by a handful of Villa Park women who wanted to get involved and make a positive difference in the community, the first official public meeting of the Villa Park Junior Women's Club (VPJWC) was held in January of 2005.
