D211 members who shirk duty must go

Term limits are important to many voters from both sides of the aisle, for good reason. When people stay in office too long, they often lose touch with their constituents. This is certainly the case in District 211.

Anna Klimkowicz, who holds extra power as the board secretary, was elected 20 years ago. Robert LeFevre has served three terms since being elected in 2005, and currently is board vice president. Their voting records have shown their lack of concern for children and taxpayers.

Fiscal and social accountability must be reinstated on April 4, or we will suffer the consequences. Did you know our biggest labor contract will be up for renewal soon? Did you know the majority of the District 211 board believes it's just fine to shirk their duty and have ZERO board members participate in labor negotiations?

Why have board members if they won't be at the table? Do you want to see another 10-year contract disaster, like in District 15? If not, elect people who believe in fiscal accountability.

Did you know both Klimkowicz and LeFevre voted to provide a male student access to the Fremd girls locker room, thus proving they believe the privacy, dignity and well-being of young girls is not worth defending, despite having federal law on their side?

Did you know D211 opened up another locker room at Hoffman Estates High School behind closed doors? Do you want this to continue? If not, elect people who will defend the rights and needs of all students and who will restore social accountability.

The role of a board member is not to be an arm of the administration. To act in this manner is to shirk your duty and lose the trust of the community. Please tell them both you have had enough on April 4.
