High schools to host Daddy Daughter Dances

Ready for some winter fun? Buffalo Grove and Prospect high schools are holding Daddy Daughter Dances in February and March.

Area girls and their dads/father figures are invited to attend the 18th annual Daddy Daughter Dance from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Prospect High School, 801 W. Kensington Road, in Mount Prospect.

The dance is a special occasion for dads (or father figures) and daughters to dress up and is geared toward girls ages of 3 to 12. The dance features a local DJ, a dessert table, souvenirs, photo booths and professional photos.

This event is a benefit for Prospect's Choir Department and is staffed by choir students and Prospect Choral Boosters.

Entry fee is $30 at the door for fathers/figures; free for daughters. Visit prospectchoir.com to download a registration form. Credit cards are not accepted.

Buffalo Grove High School's 2017 Class Board will sponsor its fifth annual Daddy Daughter Dance for the high school attendance area's K-sixth grade girls and their fathers.

This event will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 4, in the school's gymnasium. Proceeds will help fund activities and events produced by the senior class board.

Dads and their daughters will enjoy a semiformal evening full of music and dancing, as well as games, crafts, a photo booth, refreshments and more. The cost is $30 for each family.

Checks should be made payable to Buffalo Grove High School and mailed to the attention of: 2017 Class Board/Daddy-Daughter Dance, 1100 W. Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. "Daddy-Daughter Dance" should be noted in the memo section of the check. Please include the father and daughter(s) names and home phone number with the payment, as well as an email address.

An email confirmation will be sent when payment is received. For questions, contact the 2017 Class Board sponsor, Buffalo Grove counselor Lily Justiniano, at (847) 718-4024 or lily.justiniano@d214.org.
