David Axelrod to discuss 'From Obama to Trump: American Politics Today' Feb. 9

"From Obama to Trump: American Politics Today" will be explored by David Axelrod, author, broadcaster and political strategist, at Aurora University on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Axelrod will appear at 7:30 p.m. in the university's Town Square series at Crimi Auditorium in the Institute for Collaboration, 1347 Prairie St. in Aurora. Admission and parking are free.

Rick Pearson, Chicago Tribune chief political reporter, will moderate.

Axelrod directs the University of Chicago's Institute of Politics. He is senior political commentator for CNN and host of "The Axe Files," a podcast coproduced by CNN and the institute. He wrote "Believer: My Forty Years in Politics," a New York Times best-selling memoir.

A veteran of politics and journalism, Axelrod served as chief strategist and senior adviser to President Barack Obama.
