4 treated for injuries after Buffalo Grove crash

A crash in Buffalo Grove Tuesday morning sent four people to the hospital - two of whom had serious but not life-threatening injuries, officials say.

Firefighters responded to the three-vehicle crash at 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Brittany Drive. The Arlington Heights Fire Department assisted Buffalo Grove fire and police.

Authorities believe one vehicle struck the side of another and caused both cars to collide with a third vehicle. The crash required firefighters to extricate one person.

Two people sustained minor injuries, but the other two were more seriously hurt, Buffalo Grove Fire Lt. Ron Two Bulls said.

Two were taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, one to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and one to Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview.

Police were not immediately available to comment and there was no immediate update on the condition of those involved in the crash.
