WIM Fox Valley welcomes Kathy Hurt, director of marketing and Product Development for Caboodles/Creative Option Brands for Plano Molding, who will speak about her involvement in the innovation and launch of the Caboodle product at its meeting on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The luncheon will be held at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin with networking at 11:30 a.m., luncheon and program at noon. Meetings adjourn promptly at 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $22 for members or $25 for nonmembers. Area women business professionals are welcome to attend. Reservations must be made for attendance no later than Tuesday, Feb. 7, online at www.wimfoxvalley.org.

In addition to launching the Creative Options brand of craft storage and opening key customers such as Costco, Wal-Mart, Jo-Ann, Hobby Lobby and Michael's, Hurt revitalized the Caboodles cosmetic organizer brand. Within a two-year time frame, she substantially increased sales and profits by adding key accounts such as Target, Sephora and Sally Beauty Supply.

Under her stewardship, Plano Molding initiated a foundation dedicated to donating product to a variety of local and national charities and nonprofit organizations.

Among many of her volunteer efforts, she is active in the Elgin community and is president of the Advocate Sherman Hospital Auxiliary and board of director member and on the steering committee for the Elgin Community College Foundation Purses with Purpose, dedicated to the empowerment of women.

"Kathy is truly an inspiration," said Ramona 'Monie' Burns, this year's 2016-17 WIM Fox Valley president. "She is a lifelong resident of Elgin and we are pleased to have her with us to give our members and guests the opportunity to celebrate her core values, clear vision and determination to achieve success."

Burns is owner of MoMo's Concierge Services in Elgin, which provides harmony, security and freedom at home and work through a variety of personal and professional services.

Burns added, "We warmly welcome guests to attend our meetings to find out more about WIM Fox Valley and our mission of women inspiring and mentoring."

Upcoming speakers include: Michelle Santucci, Little Mac Boutique in Elgin on March 9; Lisa Stamos of Quintessential Barrington Magazine on April 13; evening dinner celebration/McGraw Wildlife on May 11.
