Learn more about Kaneland Dist. 302 candidates at Feb. 16 forum

The Kaneland Education Association and the Kaneland Citizens Advisory Committee invite the community to a candidate forum for the Kaneland Unit District 302 school board. It will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, in the Harter Middle School cafeteria, 1601 Esker Drive in Sugar Grove.

It will begin with an introduction of candidates and candidate statements. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions to the moderator.

Mark your calendar and don't forget to cast an informed vote during the April 4 consolidated election.

The candidates for the three 4-year terms are incumbents Shana Sparber of Maple Park (Kaneville Township) and Pedro Rivas of Sugar Grove (Blackberry Township), and newcomers Aaron Lawler of Montgomery and Noah Little of Sugar Grove (both of Sugar Grove Township). Note, there are currently two board members from Sugar Grove Township. As the board cannot have more than three trustees from any township, only one of the Sugar Grove Township residents could serve, if elected.
