Zion UMC invites you to community prayer breakfast

Zion United Methodist Church in Hampshire will host a community prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, in the fellowship hall, 157 W. Jefferson Ave.

You are invited to bring your favorite Bible verses to share with others during this gathering. Attendees also will pray for neighbors and friends who need prayer and care. They will sing a song to praise God and encourage each other.

Let Pastor DooSoo Lee know how many will be coming by Wednesday, Feb. 1, by calling (815) 291-0056 or email zionumc.hampshire@gmail.com. It is a freewill offering. The next community prayer breakfast will be March 4.

At the 10:15 a.m. service Feb. 5 for Disability Awareness Sunday, they will celebrate the gifts and graces of persons with disabilities and calls the church and society to full inclusion of persons with disabilities in the community. The church is not complete unless all are present and included.

United Methodist Church observes Disability Awareness Sunday on the first Sunday of February.

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, the church will host its Fat Tuesday Community Pancake Supper from 5 to 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
