Time to accept Trump and move on

I remind writer Mr. Whalen who wrote re "...the idiotic and blatantly unfair electoral college system," vis-a-vis our "democracy," that he should reread our Constitution and Bill of Rights so that he understands America is not a true democracy. It's a republic, thereby precluding any elections being decided by total country vote. Plus, why should California, New York and Illinois alone decide who our President is? I don't want that and why should anyone not living in California, New York or Illinois want that? Or people in those states as well who might oppose their total vote winner?

And why now? Because your candidate didn't win? My candidate hasn't won for two elections, and I'm not blaming the system for that. I'm blaming the misguided folks who voted for him. But I accepted him.

Let's all accept the new president and get on with helping him make this country the economic and diplomatic powerhouse it once was. God bless America.
