'Clean' campaigns just can't win

While I would have preferred to have John Kasich or Marco Rubio as president, unfortunately in America, politics have gotten so "dirty" that only someone like Donald Trump was able to beat Hillary Clinton. When "nice guys" who prefer to stay away from the mud slinging run, they don't have a chance.

Mitt Romney is a good example. When the Democrats found what little they could to demean him, he pretty much let it go and did not lower himself to enter the fray. John Kasich seemed to try to stick to the issues also, but we all see where that got him.

The fact that Hillary Clinton dared to bring up morality regarding Donald Trump after the way Bill Clinton disgraced the [residency with his behavior pretty much says it all about our elections and politics.

Finally, the American public took a stand, and I truly believe it had much to do with the fact that the press chose to ignore all the Clinton "baggage" yet point out all of Trump's faults. Enough people were tired of where American politics have gone. Hopefully, this election will get our country and its politics back on track and good people will be willing to seek public office once again.
