Fox Lake names parks director

The village of Fox Lake has named Nick Warrner as director of parks and recreation, effective immediately. Before joining Fox Lake, Warrner served as athletics manager for the Sterling Park District in Sterling, Illinois. He's also worked for the park district of Huntley and a county park in Hudson. He has a bachelor's degree in recreation and park administration from Illinois State University and was certified as a parks and recreation professional in 2012. Warrner has been involved in the parks and recreation sector since high school, where he served as a summer camp counselor. "I've always aspired to lead a parks and recreation department, and I'm honored to hold this role in Fox Lake," he said.
