Community Foundation awards 12 grants for fall 2016 cycle

The Community Foundation of Fox River Valley recently announced its fall 2016 grant recipients.

This past November, the following 12 agencies were approved a total of $131,604.00 in grants to help fulfill their missions: CASA Kendall County; Child Care Resource & Referral; Fox Valley Christian Action (Riverwoods Christian Center); Fox Valley Concert Band of St. Charles; Geneva History Museum; Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley; LivingWell Cancer Resource Center; One Hope United - Northern Region; ReHome Center; Rush-Copley Foundation; Trinity Episcopal Church; and TUG Career Services.

The Community Foundation partners with these agencies in making a difference in the region in the areas of social services, education, health and the arts.

A grantee recognition ceremony is planned for later this month to celebrate the accomplishments and missions of these organizations.

If you are a nonprofit agency that is interested in applying for a grant this spring, letters of intent will become available on Feb. 1, 2017 and close on March 31, 2017.

Community Foundation grants are intended to support charitable projects that utilize companies, firms or vendors whose principal offices are located within the Community Foundation service area which includes Aurora, Batavia, Big Rock, Bristol, Elburn, Geneva, Kaneville, LaFox, Maple Park, Millbrook, Millington, Montgomery, Mooseheart, Newark, North Aurora, Oswego, Plano, St. Charles, Sugar Grove, Wasco, and Yorkville.
