For new year, consider abortion alternatives

In the new year can we get more people to be concerned about saving babies in the womb? There will be the 44th March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Jan. 27.

Thousands of people travel to Washington to attend but rarely is it covered on national TV or in the press. EWTN does a fine job of coverage but this big event is usually not seen on the nightly news and reporters don't seem to cover the march.

Due to a new scientific discovery a heartbeat has been heard at 16 days following conception. The child in the womb deserves life and not abortion. Our state has the Safe Haven Law that allows a pregnant woman the chance to bring the baby to term and if she can't take care of the child she can bring it to a police station, fire station, hospital or an emergency care facility up to 30 days after the birth. There the personnel will take the child without any question and the child will be adopted by loving parents.

There are many resources and agencies that will help a pregnant girl before and after birth. TLC Pregnancy Service in Elgin and Schaumburg, Waterleaf Woman's Center in Aurora and Birthright are a few. If you know anyone who is uncertain and afraid about their pregnancy, help them to choose life. There are abortion alternatives.

For decades now, our courts have been removing religion and morality from public life, and we see the price we have paid in tens of millions of aborted children.
