It's Girl Scout Cookie time! New this year, S'more Cookies

Girl Scout Cookie Season is here!

Girl Scouts are accepting cookie orders through door to door sales now through Sunday, Jan. 29, and online through their Digital Cookie websites through Wednesday, March 8.

When girls participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, the largest girl-led business in the world, they learn five essential skills, goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics.

2017 commemorates the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts selling cookies and to celebrate Girl Scouts has introduced the new specialty, S'mores Cookie - crunchy graham sandwich cookies with creamy chocolate and marshmallowy filling! It's a new twist on traditional sweet treat.

The specialty S'mores cookie is $5 a box.

Girl Scouts also offer a gluten free cookie, Toffee-tastic, also $5 a box.

Traditional favorites including Thin Mints, Somoas, Do-si-Dos, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles and Tagalongs are all back too and available for $4 a box.

When you purchase Girl Scout Cookies, your dollars help power new and amazing experiences for a Girl Scouts. Whether it's a trip she'll never forget, a service project that will change her community forever, or the opportunity to build a lifetime of memories at camp, Girl Scout Cookies help make it happen!

The Girl Scout Gift of Caring program is once again available in 2017. Girls may collect donations or "sell" boxes of cookies to be donated to military troops through Operation Care and other organizations.

This is a great way to support a girl's Cookie business and also acknowledge support for our military and other public service personnel including police and fire departments. Last year, more than 42,000 boxes of cookies were donated through the Gift of Caring Program.
