VNA Friendship Circle to meet Feb. 3 in Aurora

VNA Health Care is starting the VNA Friendship Circle from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at its location at 400 N. Highland Ave. in Aurora.

VNA Friendship Circle is a free drop-in program for adults that will meet on the first Friday of the month.

"We are starting VNA Friendship Circle to encourage a sense of community and offer people a safe and comfortable place to connect with others," said Chrissie Howorth, vice president of philanthropy and business relations.

VNA will serve small portions of healthy soup, made by Wellness Kitchen volunteers. Cards and board games will be available, and visitors may bring their own craft project, book or other activity. Everyone is welcome to attend, you do not need to be a VNA patient.

"The Friendship Circle offers adults the chance to make a new friend and be a friend," Howorth said. "Anyone looking for companionship or to share their time and support others is welcome to attend."
