Swingin' Sock Hop Night to support PADS of Elgin

Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, Team Five in PADS of Elgin Inc.'s 2017 Winter Harvest for the Homeless Stars Dance (that's Sarah Sill of the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and her dance partner Sam Michaels) are gonna knock your socks off, Daddy-O!

So wear your swankiest 1950s threads and doo's and burn rubber down to Martini Room to help support Sarah and Sam's fundraising efforts for the PADS dance in a "Swingin' Sock Hop Night."

Enjoy a martini or two, hop to some classic tunes and compete in a hula hoop contest. At 7 p.m., enjoy a preview of Team Five's swing dance routine that they'll perform at the Stars Dance on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Holiday Inn Crystal Lake.

Tickets to the Winter Harvest for the Homeless event are available by calling (847) 608-9744.

If you can't join them for the Swingin' Sock Hop, don't flip your lid, man.

You can still vote for Team 5 at padsel.ejoinme.org/dance2017. One dollar = one vote. Every little bit of bread helps!

So what's the hang-up, cats? Don't be a square hangin' in nowheresville on a Friday night! Shake, rattle and roll your way down to Martini Room on Jan. 20 for a swingin' good night while supporting Team 5!
