Spa completes renovation in Hawthorn Mall

Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas completed a renovation of its salon and spa at Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills.

A ribbon cutting will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m.

"We wanted to create a modern space with a social atmosphere for the guest. The open layout, with new bar concept stations, helps inspire the fun and collaborative environment of Mario Tricoci," said Mario Tricoci Project Manager Claudia Tyner

Originally opened in 2000, the newly updated salon and spa will feature new style stations, color stations and makeup stations. A fresh new beauty space will include bars dedicated to brow and eye design, brow finish, eyebrow wax with makeup finish, Glow and Go Enzyme Peels and NuFace Wow Brow treatments.

New reception desks and larger waiting areas will provide a respite from reality the moment guests enter the salon. Retail displays showcase the latest skin and hair care products on the market including BABOR, Rene Furterer, Pureology and Mario Tricoci's celebrated signature line of hair care products.

With myriad retail displays, guests will be able to more easily search and discover all of the beauty solutions and luxuries that Mario Tricoci has to offer.

Restrooms have been added and upgraded and energy efficient lighting also contributes to a warm, welcoming and convenient environment.

"We had the opportunity to design a state-of-the-art facility right within our existing location and the results are remarkable," said Mario Tricoci Senior Vice President & COO Larry Silvestri. "Using cleaner, safer, nonporous materials, we expanded the style stations and made them ergonomically better for our stylists and guests. The bright, open feel of the space is phenomenal particularly with the removal of the old check-in/check-out desk now replaced with smaller terminal stations. The terminals have low counters at the perfect height for a guest to set down her purse or bags when checking out. We love the new look and are already receiving great feedback about it from our guests."
