Wilson tapped as Holy Family president

Presence Health, the largest Catholic health care system in Illinois, announced the appointment of Yolande Wilson as the new president of Presence Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines.

As president, Wilson will lead the day-to-day operations and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, improving physician and associate satisfaction, optimizing the medical center's financial performance and development and execution of strategic positioning plans.

Wilson has more than 25 years of experience as a leader in hospital administration and clinical operations. In her most recent position, Yolande was regional chief operations officer at PHFMC since June 2015. Before that, she was chief clinical officer and then chief executive officer at Kindred Hospital Boston-North Shore, a long-term acute care hospital. Previously, she was chief clinical officer at Kindred Hospital-New Orleans.

Earlier in her career, Wilson practiced as a registered nurse in the surgical, telemetry, ICU step down and intensive care units at both Vencor Hospital and Memorial Medical Center in New Orleans.

Wilson earned a bachelor of science in nursing and biology at Dillard University, New Orleans and an executive master of business administration at University of New Orleans. Her professional memberships include the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Nurses Association, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
