Starfish Animal Rescue to host open house Sunday

Starfish Animal Rescue, an all-volunteer nonprofit pet rescue, will provide cat and dog adoption information during an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at 167 Oswald St. in Batavia.

The public is invited.

Cats and dogs available for adoption may be viewed at the event. Volunteers will provide information and applications. Refreshments will be included.

Founded in 2006, Plainfield-based Starfish is a licensed nonprofit rescue.

Starfish mobilizes volunteers to biweekly transport dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from southeast Kentucky for adoption or foster homes in Chicago-area homes.
