Kendall County elected official faces battery charge

YORKVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A Kendall County elected official is facing a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly striking another woman inside a restaurant.

Yorkville Deputy Chief Terry Klingel says Kendall County Circuit Clerk Robyn Ingemunson is accused of striking a woman in the head inside a Yorkville restaurant on Dec. 21.

Klingel tells The Aurora Beacon-News (http://trib.in/2jlqeyW ) the woman wasn't injured but the incident remains under review and authorities are trying to determine whether the altercation was captured on video.

Attorney Lisa Accardi says she's representing the 49-year-old Ingemunson "as it relates to any criminal matters." She says neither she nor her client have any comment on the allegations.

Klingel says Ingemunson has been informed of the charge and given a notice to appear, but no warrant has yet been issued for her arrest.
