2 arrested in South Elgin on heroin, drug charges

Two men were arrested Wednesday in South Elgin on charges they possessed heroin and other drugs, and one man is accused of planning to sell the heroin, according to Kane County prosecutors.

Vincent A. Incaprera, 23, of the 1000 block of West Kane Street, South Elgin, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and three counts of possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Prosecutors said sheriff's deputies and South Elgin police searched Incaprera's home, seizing six grams of heroin and .27 grams of cocaine that were packaged in several, separate plastic bags, along with 12 hydrocodone pills.

Incaprera and a friend, prosecutors say, had just returned from Chicago to buy heroin.

If convicted of the most severe charge, Incaprera faces four to 15 years in prison, but probation also is an option.

Antoni S. Wojtaszczyk, 35, of the 0-99 block of Portsmith Court, Algonquin, faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance, a felony that carries a punishment range of probation to up to three years in prison if convicted.

He is accused of possessing 1.75 grams of heroin and nine morphine pills, prosecutors said.

Incaprera was being held at the Kane County jail on $50,000 bail while Wojtaszczyk was released on his own recognizance.

They are next due in court Jan. 13 and 18, respectively.

Antoni S. Wojtaszczyk was released on his own recognizance.
