Search for 'Owls by Moonlight' during Jan. 13 hike

One of the most mysterious yet fascinating nighttime creatures is the owl.

Sign up now for "Owls by Moonlight" from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Fabyan West Forest Preserve in Geneva.

During this nature program, join district naturalists and staff from the Geneva Public Library for a nighttime hike in search of owls.

A naturalist will tell tales of owls around the world. Participants will learn about local owls as well. You also can try to call an owl or two.

All ages are welcome to attend this free nature program.

Advance registration is required through the Geneva Public Library. Call (630) 232-0893 or visit www.glpd.org to register. You do not have to be a Geneva resident to register.

Fabyan West Forest Preserve is at 1925 Batavia Ave., Geneva. Meet at Shelter No. 1.
