Catholic School system Unveils a Unified Brand, Signaling Transformation

WAUCONDA & MUNDELEIN, ILLINOIS - DECEMBER 22, 2016 - The Catholic Consortium of Lake County (CCLC), the leading Catholic school system for youth, preschool through 8th grade in the Mundelein and Wauconda communities, unveiled a unified brand identity, symbolized by the introduction of a single logo & school name that signifies its growth and transformation, and celebrates the culture of innovation built over 120 combined years of history of schools and parish communities. As of the 2017-2018 school year, the CCLC schools will be recognized as Frassati Catholic Academy - elementary & middle school; consisting of two campuses entitled: Mundelein Campus & Wauconda Campus.

The launch of the single brand logo & school name kicks-off a new era and unification of our school that speaks to who we are as a family and an integrated front in our community for faith-based and rigorous education, directly aligned with the Renew My Church initiative introduced by the Archbishop of Chicago. The following schools are celebrating this excitement in anticipation for the 2017-2018 school year: St. Mary of the Annunciation Elementary, 22277 Erhart Rd., Mundelein; Transfiguration Catholic Elementary, 316 W. Mill St., Wauconda; and Frassati Catholic Academy Middle School, 316 W. Mill St., Wauconda, along with their supporting parishes: St. Mary of the Annunciation; Mundelein, Santa Maria del Popolo; Mundelein and Transfiguration; Wauconda.

"I am excited about the unification. As Principal of these schools for just over a year, I have been impressed with the dedication, passion and drive our families and parishes have expressed through the development of unifying our school and image. Our goal has been to strive for a more streamlined means of communication and heighten academic rigor for our current families, but also for those families we hope to one day include. These schools and parishes have seen a lot of change and transformation over the course of 6 years and I am proud to have my team [School Board and Administration] leading an initiative that aims for longevity, vitality and sustainability for Catholic education in our communities."

For several weeks, Focus Groups have worked alongside and in support of the School Board and school officials to ensure the legacy of each school, their history and alumni are celebrated. Many upcoming events and promotions bring excitement to the unification throughout the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year. The school has already begun advertising for enrollment as Frassati Catholic Academy - elementary & middle school for the 2017-2018 school year.

A specific Focus Group has been working endlessly to also guarantee faith and religion belief are at the forefront of the unification to bring together a much stronger and vital Catholic School education for the Mundelein and Wauconda communities.

Frassati Catholic Academy - elementary & middle School will continue to partner and grow the parish relationships with St. Mary of the Annunciation and Santa Maria del Popolo parishes of Mundelein and Transfiguration parish of Wauconda.

Information about the unification has been introduced and shared with the present families at the school, as well with the parishioners from the supporting parishes. Many current families, parishioners and community members are excited about the unification as well.

A parent currently enrolled at the Wauconda Campus shared, "I am on board with the unification and I do not have any concerns."

"We are excited to hear there will be one name and one message, we have been confused over the most recent years. We are thrilled Catholic education is still striving in our communities!" noted a local business owner and community member.

"As a parent in our school, we chose Catholic education when we moved to the area and found this place [St. Mary of the Annunciation]. We heard about it because we started attending the parish. We have grown to love it and are more than happy with our choice! The teachers are wonderful, school and parish staff work great together and you can tell it is truly a family, even across campuses. There has always been a disconnect to who or what we are though, this unification brings forth light that we are truly one: one in faith and education."

Aside from the official brand unification, including name and logo change, there is still quite a bit of unifying the school will set into motion. Online presence through website, social media, teacher and staff emails, uniform transitions, signage, curriculum unification and more are all part of the long term goal and actions plans in place to be addressed in the coming months and years.

Open Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year at Frassati Catholic Academy - elementary and middle school will start Sunday, January, 29th, 2017, at which time both Campus Locations will host Open Houses.
