Saint Viator High School Entrance Exam January 14th

Current 8th grade students are invited to take the Saint Viator High School Entrance Exam on Saturday, January 14th. The exam begins at 8:00 a.m. No advance registration is required for the tests which are designed to measure a student's ability and achievement levels in reading, math and language arts.

"We had an overwhelming response to our two open house events in November," said Director of Recruitment Jason Kuffel. "We are looking forward to a strong turnout for this important first step for the Lions of the Class of 2021."

Students are encouraged to be well rested and have a good breakfast before arriving at the school by 7:45 on Saturday the 14th. The exams which will run until approximately noon. Each prospective student should bring two #2 pencils and a $25 testing fee. Those attending can download a Test Registration Form and Parent Permission Release Form at www.saintviator.com/admissions to bring to the test. Additional forms will be available the morning of the exam. Parents who are dropping their children off are invited to come into the school for coffee and donuts with school administrators who will be on hand to answer questions.

"At Saint Viator, we welcome students of all ability levels," said Kuffel. "Whether they are eligible for our Querbes Scholars Program, need academic assistance through our Scott R. Scanlan Center, or fall somewhere in between, we create the opportunity for all students to learn and flourish in the classroom."

According to Kuffel, the test results from the entrance exam will help determine priority admission, academic scholarships, and opportunities for the Father Louis Querbes Scholarship Program. "Saint Viator offers a rigorous college preparatory, faith-based education. With 100% of our most recent graduating class going on to college with ACT scores 6 points higher than the state average, it is easy to see why the Class of 2016 received over $26 million in scholarship offers," he said. "A Saint Viator education prepares students for college and their chosen careers. The ability to be successful at leading universities, and in many cases to begin a career with little or no debt from college expenses, is a tremendous asset to our young alumni. That journey begins with our entrance exam."
