Holiday gift idea; tickets to Hersey Band benefit
Here's a last-minute holiday gift idea: Tickets to In Good Taste, the benefit for the John Hersey High School Band Program.
An eclectic wine list, live jazz, and raffle prizes that include box seats for the Cubs and tickets to "Hamilton," are among the highlights of the Saturday, Feb. 4, In Good Taste benefit.
The ninth annual In Good Taste will take place 7-10 p.m. Feb. 4, at Rolling Green Country Club, in Arlington Heights. Early Bird tickets are now on sale for just $45 per person and can be purchased by credit card or PayPal at www.herseyband.com/taste. Special Early Bird discount ends Friday, Jan. 13; thereafter, $50 per person.
In Good Taste features samples of more than 50 global wines and beers, along with sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and sweets. The first 100 guests will receive a free keepsake glass, and live jazz entertainment will be provided by Hersey Band alumni professional musicians.
The Grand Raffle prizes include: First prize: Four Cubs infield box seats to the May 21 game at Wrigley Field against the Milwaukee Brewers ($800 value); second prize: Two tickets to "Hamilton" Broadway in Chicago Show on May 20, at the Private Bank Theatre ($400 value); third prize: Cooking Class for four at the Cooking Skills Academy ($320 value).
Grand Raffle tickets are $25 each or five for $100 and can also be purchased online or the night of the event. Winner need not be present to win.
There will be dozens of other raffle prizes, including a magnum of wine from Cooper's Hawk "Decadence" Magnum, prize packages, and a diamond stud earrings raffle.
