AM 560 The Answer to host Christmas party for veterans in need

Wheaton, IL - Veterans in need in the greater DuPage County area will be the guests of honor at a Christmas party hosted by AM 560 The Answer on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Gino's East in downtown Wheaton. The party will coincide with a live remote broadcast of the Joe Walsh Show from 5 to 7 p.m.

The party is an effort by AM 560, the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, and Operation Support Our Troops America to honor these veterans for their service and provide them with a chance to celebrate the holiday season. All veterans in attendance will receive a care package from Operation Support Our Troops America, in addition to enjoying a complimentary pizza dinner from Gino's East.

"The sacrifice our veterans have made is what makes America great," said Joe Walsh, AM 560 afternoon host and former U.S. Congressman. "We should take every opportunity we can to show them our love and support. I'm looking forward to celebrating Christmas with some of these wonderful veterans."

AM 560 listeners are encouraged to stop by Gino's East, 315 W. Front St. in Wheaton, during the live broadcast between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to drop off donations of gift cards with a minimum balance of $20. These gift cards will be given to veterans in need to provide them with a Christmas shopping experience this season. Gift cards can also be mailed to: Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 433 S.
