Police in Greenwood investigating stabbing fatally shoot man

GREENWOOD, Ind. (AP) - Police in suburban Indianapolis say an officer shot and killed a man while investigating a report from a woman saying her boyfriend was stabbing her.
Greenwood police say the man was killed Saturday morning. The city is just south of Indianapolis.
WXIN-TV in Indianapolis reports (http://bit.ly/2gmDeys ) that when officers arrived they found a man and woman in a home's garage. Officers fired several rounds when the man looked like he was going to stab the woman again.
The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
