Congregation Kneseth Israel joins in Project Linus

Congregation Kneseth Israel is participating in Project Linus, a nonprofit organization that provides homemade blankets to children in need. Blankets are made by adults and children from all walks of life and many different sources.

Congregation Kneseth Israel, 330 Division St. in Elgin, has made Project Linus a community service project this year. Programs are open to anyone. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15.

Blankets can be made by knitting, crocheting, sewing, and non-sewing methods. Socializing and fun are an important part of the project.

Donations of materials or gift cards to Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store and Michaels are appreciated.
