Campton Hills police talk about Citizens Police Academy at Wasco McDonald's

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, customers came in to have "Coffee with the Cops" at the Wasco McDonald's on Route 64. Many people from the community came in to meet the Campton Hills police officers. Many came just to tell them how they appreciate all they do to keep the village safe.

Norm Turner, Shannan Harley and many other community members learned about the second annual Citizen's Police Academy that will take place Jan. 9 at the Fox Mill Homeowners Association Clubhouse. Officers served coffee, talked with the community and answered many questions.

The "Coffee with the Cops" was part of a special event between the Wasco McDonald's and the Campton Hills Police. Special thank you goes to Chief Dan Hoffman, who coordinated the event. Thank you also to Campton Hills Police Officer Steve Millar and Sergeant Bob Reichardt who came and served coffee and mingled with the community.

This event was courtesy of the Wasco McDonald's owner/operators, Yanni Management. To set up an event, contact the Julie Travers, community relations director for Wasco McDonald's, at julie.travers@comcast.net.
