Man accused of shooting at police offices faces new charges

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - New charges have been filed against a man linked to shootings at two Indianapolis police district offices.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry says three attempted murder charges were filed Thursday against 21-year-old Damoine Wilcoxson, two of them stemming from a police district office shooting Oct. 13 where two officers inside the building were believed to have been targeted. A new criminal recklessness charge against Wilcoxson applies to the other district office shooting Oct. 4.

The third attempted murder charge alleges Wilcoxson fired at officers during an Oct. 31 SWAT standoff.

Wilcoxson also is charged with murder in connection with the Sept. 28 shooting death of 82-year-old John A. Clements of Zionsville.

Wilcoxson is being held in the Boone County Jail. It's not clear whether he has an attorney.
